Hi! We are so excited to welcome you to Auburn and to introduce ourselves as the Recruitment Chairs for Alpha Chi Omega! Our job is to make Recruitment the best and easiest experience it can be for each and every one of you. Our team has been working with so much love and intention since November to ensure everything is prepared for your arrival! We are so excited to introduce you to our beautiful sisterhood and show off the incredible opportunities and communities available in Alpha Chi!

When we first entered Recruitment as PNMs, Alpha Chi gave both of us the feeling of comfortability, warmth, and belonging. Alpha Chi became our home away from home. That is our hope for you! We understand that leaving home and moving to college can be scary or intimidating, but our continuous prayer has been that you find overwhelming comfort and peace here. For us, Alpha Chi supported us through that transition and gave us a place to help foster real and lasting friendships. Our girls will be by your side through thick and thin – there for you no matter what. We promise that we will laugh with you, celebrate your triumphs, pick you up when you’re down, and make the little moments some of your best college memories! Here we have found our greatest friendships and are confident that you could find the same in Alpha Chi Omega!

We cannot wait to meet PC ‘25 and celebrate as you run home to our sisterhood! The next four years are going to be some of the best of your life, and we pray that Alpha Chi Omega will be a part of that journey!

With love and excitement,

Sasha & Emma

At Alpha Chi Omega at Auburn, we believe the first days of college should feel like coming home—and that’s exactly what our new member experience is designed to do. From the moment the new members join, they’re welcomed into the “12 Days of Christmas,” a beloved Alpha Chi tradition filled with daily events that help them bond with their new sisters. These events can include anything from a Toomer’s Corner lemonade tab to walking their classes together or enjoying sundaes on Samford Lawn. One of the most special days is our New Member Retreat, where the new members escape to a relaxing getaway and spend intentional time growing closer as sisters.

One of the most meaningful parts of the new member journey is the Big Little process. During Big Little Week, each new member is matched with an Alpha, Chi, and Omega—three thoughtful and encouraging sisters who pour into them throughout the week. One of them becomes their Big, and the reveal is one of the most joyful and emotional moments we share as a chapter. This week brings our whole sorority together and is a true highlight of the fall. Every part of the new member experience—from the peaceful New Member Retreat to our end-of-semester New Member Banquet—is lovingly planned by our VP of New Member Education, affectionately known as Mamma Pearl. She’s always there to cheer the new members on, answer questions, and make sure they’re never alone. At Alpha Chi, our goal is simple: to make every new member feel celebrated, cherished, and completely at home.

Dear Potential New Members,

I could not be more thrilled to be PC ’25’s Mama Pearl this upcoming year! I still remember all the emotions that come with recruitment: anxiety, fear, and uncertainty, but also excitement, anticipation, and overwhelming joy. It wasn’t long ago that I was in your shoes, praying the Lord would place me in a sisterhood that would support me academically and surround me with unconditional love throughout my college years and beyond.

As PC ’25’s Mama Pearl, I’ll be here every step of the way—cheering on our new members, encouraging them through their first weeks, and helping make the transition to college as smooth and joy-filled as possible. Whether it’s navigating campus, settling into classes, or simply adjusting to a new season of life, I’ll be their biggest supporter and biggest fan.

Alpha Chi has truly given me friendships that will last a lifetime. These girls have led me closer to the Lord, challenged me to grow as a sister and a friend, and supported me in every academic and professional pursuit. When I look back on my own recruitment experience, my greatest piece of advice is to trust the Lord’s plan for your life. He knows exactly where you are meant to be, and His promises are always good and faithful. He will guide you to a community that exceeds your every hope and expectation.

I cannot wait to meet each of you, and I’m already praying that you find a home as sweet and special as I have. Be yourself, soak it all in, and trust that the best is truly yet to come.

OTBWD,
Millison Mixon
