At Alpha Chi Omega, we support and cultivate Real Strong Women. Supporting survivors of domestic violence is a cause that means so much to us, and it’s the foundation of everything we do. Our mission is to raise awareness, promote healthy relationships, and stand beside those impacted by domestic violence through real action and advocacy. One of the most meaningful accomplishments from this past semester of spring 2025, when we raised over $40,000 for the Domestic Violence Intervention Center of Opelika. Every effort, big or small, was made with care, purpose, and a whole lot of heart.
What makes this work even more special is that every new member who joins Alpha Chi becomes part of this powerful mission. Each sister brings her own energy, compassion, and strength to help create real change. Together, we’re not only making an impact, we’re building a community rooted in purpose and love.
Alpha Chi Cookout is our annual fall fundraiser, and it’s one of our favorite traditions! Held during Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, this event is filled with fun, from delicious food and games to live music and great company. It’s a time when our community comes together to raise awareness in a joyful, welcoming atmosphere. We’re so excited to host it for the second year this upcoming fall!
The 5K for DVA is our newest annual spring fundraiser and has quickly become a meaningful event for our chapter’s philanthropy. Held during Spring Parents Weekend, we are able to share our passion for domestic violence awareness and prevention with our families and Auburn community. This past March, we hosted our first race and were very proud to raise over $29,000 for the Domestic Violence Intervention Center of Opelika!
This February, during Healthy Relationships Week, our members sold candy grams across Auburn’s campus to raise funds for our philanthropy. The fundraiser was held on Valentine’s Day, making it the perfect opportunity for students to spread love and appreciation to the people in their lives. Thanks to the generosity of our fellow Auburn students, we raised over $4,000 in just one week!
This January our members started s new event called AXO raffle. Over the course of 3 days our new members campaigned on the Haley concourse to sell entries to our raffle. At the end of the week we picked one lucky winner who recieved an entire concert package! We were able to raise an amzing $7,000 from this event alone
